can my bmw last 10 years ?

Re: can my bmw last 10 years ?

Any car can last 10 years. Its matter of whether the maintenance bill will increase exponentially....BMW needs lots of maintenance after 5 years assuming no major parts were replaced earlier...In Japan car tax will be increased after 7 years in order to maintain young fleets to ensure less pollution....

wahahaha ... as if LTA (ministry of transport) would forgo $1.5-$2.0 billion revenues in coe bidding per year
and this one is pure profit ... no need to hire driver nor worry about dormitory living conditions ... lolz

Can we petition LTA we only pay COE once, and not like for every 10 years

Whilst that true, policies are made by man and not set in stone forever.

The only other place I know has a "COE" equivalent is Shanghai. They bid for the car plate and car can used > 10 years. One time charge and effective in curbing the car growth. Btw their car plate price has also skyrocketed to all time RMB 70k now, for engines of any size.

In SG, the govt too strong but the people too weak when we have an electoral system so LL pay COE, COV, ERP etc lol

Indeed, the ultimate driving machine comes with ultimate high rate of wear and tear too.

But good thing once parts replaced, the UDM still delivers.

Gotta spend $ as BMW = Bring More Money, no choice. Can only choose brand new or drive used :)
