Cannot stand door banger :S

Yesterday, I was sitting in my car waiting for my wife in a parking lot, a car came parking next to me. I thinking because of the dark tint, they did not realised that I am in the car. Suddenly I heard one loud 'Pok' sound on my door, checked my side mirror I saw that car rear door on my door. So I went out of my car and this uncle came out from the back of that car...

This is the conversation:

Me: Hello Uncle, do you know you bang on my door...
Uncle : Got meh... Small bang only what...
Me: U think small bang I can hear in my car meh, you are older than me, don't need me to teach you how to respect others and their properties...
Uncle : .....*ranting away dunno say what*, my leg pain you know... I need to open door big big...
Me: if your legs really pain, how come you can stand up so steady and talk to me so loud, the driver can let you alight before he parked, my whole body aching now... so can i bang your car everywhere... I deserved an apology from you...
Uncle : *ranting away and refuses to apologies*
Uncle's friends: Sorry Sorry... Sorry Sorry... Very Sorry...
Me: You so old still dunno how to say sorry when you are in wrong... Where you living all these while...
And Uncle still refuses to apologies and all of them faster walked off... Drove to a brighter spot and checked, knn got a dent.. CCB...

This is not my first encounter with old uncles with door banging habits... Gonna spend $$$ do PDR... CCB UNCLE

Tot of doing that but we bo hua ler... will result in more dents on our ride... moreover the uncle's ride is old lancer... not worth doin that...

Claim his insurance la....

How to claim... Think I go report to his insurer, the officer will laugh man... Actually this is a trick from one of my friends... If he door bang/minor damage on other cars, the fellow usually will ask for a few hundreds dollars as compensation. My friend will tell them to claim his insurance which he know its impossible to claim for such small damages... quite bad actually...

Yesterday, at Suntec, somebody left a note on my windscreen: "We witnessed the black car next to your right (SJY----) brushed against your front right bumper. We have informed the security guard at the Level 1 office next to DBS.""

My bumper was bruised. His (or her) rear bumper has what looks like Alpine White paint.

But... there's still nothing I can do....

Scratch his car?

No. Just had to open my rear door hard and pretend to take something. I can only say that the VW Scricco (spelling?) door is really soft! I doubt PDR will help!!!

Don't play play with my E60 rear door corner!

Ganna from lorry is the worst.
Anyway its unavoidable. I used to be very heartpain. Now after the 10th or 20th dings, I'm used to it. And this is despite me parking as close as possible to the pillar and giving the other car lots of space. It's useless. I give up nowadays. There are just too many inconsiderate people around.

That guy is a Samaritan Anyway few years back, I was parking the side of the coffeeshop that sells BaH Kut Teh and while eating... Suddenly I heard 'Bang'... Saw a blue VW GTI reversed and bang into another car's front and rear doors, at the same time my E90 side mirror also damaged... Even the coffeeshop was packed, the driver wanted to hit and run! Me and the other driver trying to stop him but he got away... Super dulan for such irresponsible ppl, me and the other driver exchange contacts and went to make police reports separately, agreed to be each other witness... 3yrs already, sold my E90 and buy F10 liao... The case at Traffic Police still 'under investigating', bravos for out Traffic Police... Agree with you 'an eye for an eye', it may sound petty but the traffic law here is not protecting the motorcar owners... Unless got death or but have injury with blood...

Lorry and SUV! I always avoid parking next to them The things with them is they are higher and the dings they left also higher and deeper... Super obvious :furious: Ya, have to get used to it la...

I sat in my car making a call in the car park. She came and opened her car's door and dinged mine. I came out and knocked on her window. She opened the door to come out and dinged my door a second time. She apologised and while getting in dinged my door a third time.

How's that ?

ok. this is my encounter.

many years back, i was driving a old honda accord. went to the old holland V open carpark (cross the rd, opp delifrance). carpark was very full and only 1 lot avail. why is it avail? becos a Merc parked head in on the line at the driver's side.

as mine was a old car, sibei tulan. I park my car head in as well, next to his. damn bloody close. walk out of my car, relax at the bus stop in front and wait for that stupid drive to return.

he did, a fat angmoh jabor. she was shocked and was cursing. damn funny. best part.......she got to climb to the driver's seat using the passenger side.

after she got in, i slowly, slowly walk to my car, open my door and gave her a wtf look. taught her a lesson.

Nvr understood why ppl like to bang other ppl door too...it seems lk if they dont do it, others will do it to them hence bochap attitude...but fret not, fren in HK oso has this issue...so its not uniquely Spore!

Juz resprayed my front bumper few mths back and recently kenna another bruise/dent on the same bumper almost identical patch... sibe dulan... Stay HDB sibe Jialat...

Live with it or move out loh! All my car doors are inflicted with hit & run injuries. Spend about $1k to fix it back.

My left front door was hit recently. I juz polished off the paint.

It doesn't limit to HDB parking hor. Last monday, my injured left doors was scratched @ Golden Shoe at nite between 8pm - 10pm. Maybe the fatso in a black E90 cannot get in. Dulan & scratch my car.

Count yoursell lucky for staying in HDB and only get scratches/dings on your car...some high end condo in D9/10 have their expensive car submerge in sewage/drain water...
