Car camera install and mounting for F34

Hi guys,

I recently bought my first BMW and I'm thinking to install my car camera which I removed from my previous ride.

A few workshop told me my car model very sensitive and cannot install the cam to the car battery directly. Got to use external battery.

Want to ask if anyone in the forum has installed camera on their 2013 onwards model? If so, what camera you used and any feedback?

My rear view mirror also seems to have some kind of ccd which will obstruct installation of a camera below the rear view mirror. Anyone had such issues?

Hi, I have the bmw advance eye car that is tapped to the car battery.

The camera is able to record when the car is parked, and will automatically shut down so that the engine have enough battery juice to start.

Oh, that's good to hear. I wonder if the BMW eye is any different from other video recorders. Seems few of my friends also say that they cannot tap directly to the battery for the Fxx model BMW onwards. Is yours also a Fxx model ?
