Re: car shoe
The shoes are too expensive, hand made.
One of the better driving shoes that you can buy commercially everywhere, at the malls, are those made by Puma, usually hundred+ nia. You'll want to get the versions where the rubber sole of the shoe extends all the way up your heel to your ankle level. Coz when you are driving, you are constantly levering on your heel. Proper driving shoes are also a lot thinner on the soles compared with normal walking shoes. This is for drivers to feel the pedals. They will also not last long if you use it on a daily basis to walk around go shopping, coz the soles are not thick. So, the Puma ones you can find in the shops, are actually a compromise. It has a sole design that extends up your heel, but the thickness is too thick for you to feel the pedals. It's more of a fashion accessory with a driving slant.
Back in the days before Puma and Sparco started suing each other's asses off, the Puma-Sparco driving shoes are really good. Other than the fact that the soles can drop completely out (but you can ask Mr Minit to stick it back), they give pretty good feel when you are driving, and are FIA-approved, fire retardant, so if your whole body burns away, at least your feet are safe.
