car veering to the left

Hey guys, is this common for the car to be veering to one side when the steering wheel is straight? everytime i send to servicing at PML i told them the car is veering to one side. The car came out fine but after a few days the car will go back to veering to one side. Its not the usual road is tilt to an angle thats why car veers to one side. it's pretty bad. SA said that tyre pressure was not even. I have my tyre checked almost everytime i fill the up the car. SA seem to want to smoke me on this. Some help and advice here guys.

i suppose your wheel balancing and alignment all done right? veering anytime anywhere? or just a particular stretch of road?

In fact, all roads are designed to slope to the left, for water flow, n floods so that water will drain off.

However, it should not to steer to The left badly.

U may want to check ur alignment n small weights of ur rims.

Safety is important. Do have it check ASAP.

Re: car veering to the left

Do you have the active steering option for your car? How bad is the veering left problem, ie how much do you estimate the car will need to travel to veer half a lane left?

Re: car veering to the left

i think its perfectly normal. but if u dun like it. try letting out mor air on one side of ur tires until it balances out. trial an error. my precious car had 5 psi on one side and 50 psi on the other.

otherwise u can try installing coil overs on ur car. n adjust the height of ur suspension higher on one side.

Has something to do with gravitational pull of the moon.....

Please lah. just an alignment issue. Some of the explanations are hilarious.

Wah... how do you know this?

PML all out to smoke client again. Might as well say the veering to the left is to counter the weight of driver and petrol tank on the right.

In that case, mine should steer to the right? Mai hao seow leh

Re: car veering to the left

mismatched uneven tires
tires not properly inflated
broken or sagging springs
wheel alignment
brake dragging on one wheel
loose, bent or broken front or rear suspension parts

Yours not only steer to the right, right tyres and suspension also wear out faster.

*run away*

Re: car veering to the left

Pull to left is quite common on f10.

The bestest excuse is: "Pull to left is for your own safety. It is done so such that your car will pull to the road side in case the driver faints while driving. Imagine if the car pulls towards the right and into the oncoming traffic..."

Re: car veering to the left

can try going to kian teong or any of the workshops that have wheel alignment systems to have a check for peace of mind, cost 60-80 bucks, Ad cost 200+ hor....dun say never tell u 1st...keke

Re: car veering to the left

Road slant to left is normal for water to flow to the left to avoid flood. so when driving on highspeed and you let go the steering, it will steer a bit to the left.

But When Steering is Straight, car pull to left is not normal. If all tyres pressure are same, coliover no problem.

Go do a 5 wheel alignment.

i had same problem

6 mths in n out of agent w 4 alignments n try change shocks, switch tyres n rims, tyre pressure etc n still the same.

my problem was they check alignment but not check camber setting of front wheels..

go any shop w alignment computer n check front camber n caster

also check if your shock mounts have given way

gd luck

Alignment should be inclusive of adjustment of camber, caster and toe. How can the agent not do camber and caster?

Also I have seen some shops do alignment with the car jacked up with springs and shocks unloaded...this is wrong.

Bro, if not this way, all roads will be flooded.. N no point having drains at the side. There is slight deviation for water to flow to the side drains.

All lanes, including the first (fastest) lane?

Re: car veering to the left

Drain is in the middle, with the two sides slope downwards.

If don't believe pls look at Ken's signature.
