challenge night drive discussion thread.

Hi guys,

After organizing the talkie group buy (thanks for participating!), I’ve received many requests to organize another Night Drive to put our new kits to use.

However, I’ve been busy with school, revising and catching up with classes and sleep, not to mention working over the weekends at my family business (that’s why I wasn’t at the meet-up).

So anyway, I’ve been brainstorming for ideas. Our past couple of Night Drives were interesting; Shaaz’s drive introduced new routes and Jeremy’s drive spooked us.

To inject some excitement into the next Night Drive, I’ve decided that it should be a friendly competition. There’ll be a small entrance fee of maybe $10 or so per person. All the entrance fees collected will then be awarded to the winning team.

Speaking of teams, ideally, there should be teams of four people that would ride in one car. I’ll set-up puzzles and quizzes, challenges (not the racing kind) and such. The winning team is the one that manages to complete the puzzle the quickest and with all the right answers or with the most challenges completed.

Of course, the competition will take you all over the island and each team would receive a random set of challenges, to ensure that there isn’t just one leader with everyone following.

After some discussion, I’d like to have it on Saturday, 13th May. What do you guys think? Do let me know.

Just tot of a nice challenge that might be of interest to ya all.... The idea is for each group to go out and get shots (using a digi cam) of a list of specific car models, things, bldgs (whatever, let ur creativity run wild.. : ) )... A points system would be tagged to the items and the group with the most wins... !

Can participants please drive safe. Let it not be time constrained. Let's not rack up any fines and put other families at risk while we have our fun.

please keep in mind that it's not your timings that grant you the winner, but more of how many of the challenges you've completed successfully.

Combination of driving & require a bit of leg work to find the answer.
Example,
Check Point 1 : Mount Faber

Question,
a) How many coach bay are there at Check point 1
b) Count the no. of steps leading to Altivo
c) Collect a coaster fr Altivo
d) When & who opened the Singapore Cable car system
e) Name the Church you can find on the way down
f) Take a shot of the Telok Blangah Hill park's signboard

Depending on the no. of participants, we could have 4 check points for each team or 2 check points with longer list of question.
This would require to run the ground in order to set a cut off time and the team back with most question answered correctly would win the challenge.
