Changing cars? - COE prices 19-Oct 2011

SINGAPORE: COE premiums have gone up sharply across the board in the latest open bidding exercise.

It comes just days after the Transport Ministry said it would cut vehicle growth to just one per cent next year from the current 1.5 per cent.

COEs for big cars jumped S$12,289 to S$75,889.

This was followed by the S$8,542 increase in the open category COEs to S$73,600.

COEs for small cars rose S$5,823 to S$56,112.

COEs for goods vehicles and buses increased S$4,210 to S$37,011.

Motorcycle COEs went up by S$13 to S$2,091.

in mid 90s, many buy car with 100k coe leh ...

Who in the right mind would want to buy car with a 100k COE.. must be mad..!!

good news ... can continue to mod my yam3 because change car is not an option ... f30 can go fly kite liao.

People who bought car at 60+k coe now say heng ah I got it very cheap. It's a crazy Singapore!
