Dear All

My car is almost 6 months old and this morning after I off the engine, the charge battery sign came on, anyone experience this before? What should I do?

if is a 6 months old car you should go PML and get them to check
correct me if I am wrong there are 2 (big and small) battery light big 1 indicate battery(not faulty) small is referring to alternator charging system

Happened once in a while till I got my battery changed.

Ask SA, he said battery is discharging, but i dont have extra options like camera or phone chargers...he also asked me to continue driving, saying battery will recharge by itself..hmmm

Tell SA ..... Battery cannot recharge by itself.

Have you ever left your headlight, etc. on for a long period of time when the engine is not running? If yes, then it should be as simple as to check and re-charge the battery. If no, then need to check if either the car is not charging or the battery is spoilt. In either case, PML should check/fix/replace as needed. They should be able to analyze the data stored in the on-board computer. Good luck.

Seems to b one off. Not seeing e msg since.
damn, was hoping for a new batt from pml, but realised car is 13 mths old .

car is bmw f10 ... 13 months old
drive from office to home 45mins
stop, park and then off engine
ding ding "charge battery" error message appear ... nabei

dont know battery kaput or the problem of short drive not able to charge battery gao gao - common prob reported in f10post
i think i need a nsh clear carbon drive :sneaky:
