Had to read that a few times to understand.
Not BS if more explanations are given. If the logic is as described by tonykart and detach8, then it could just be a simplified air intake. E46 days have seen a few of that done.
But not the way the threadstarter has described, his E60 "FLEW".....

are you referring to man's part after waxing (became shiny shiny nice nice clean clean smooth smooth - can already go faster because of less drag while ride can glide along with the air) with a girl riding on top? Ops...

i tried, its the reaction the mod created, felt fuller.
nw heavier foot only give higher rev but not responsive enough

with the airbox mod, basically at low rev up to 2000+, u can feel tt there is no lack vs stock, nt turbo lag but there is always this unwillingly feel(without mod).
then if i step up from stop like er... 70% throttle, the engine hold up at 3000+ rpm and refuse to chiong until much later then rev up again, and if u let go a bit at the 3000+ rpm, then engine kinda like drop rpm into the 2000 mark, basically u knw the engine is not behaving rite...
