Clear light cluster - Good prx?

Hi all,

Wanna check whether the following from Benzworld is a fair quote:

Front corner side (left/right)
Front indicator (left/right)
Rear lights (left/right)

The above for $550 (w/o) GST.

If not, what would be the best price?

Eng Soon has not stock and referred me to Benzworld which I understand is under the same holding company as Engsoon.

Re: Clear light cluster - Good prx?

Nobody here has experience in changing their standard light clusters to clear lights arh?
:)

Re: Clear light cluster - Good prx?

I got mine at around $450 last year from Eng Soon. $550 seems reasonable as the price really depends on the Euros. Whatever it is, it's still cheaper than PML.

Thanks rodders... Would your $450 include the items I had mentioned in my 1st posting?
Thanks :)

Re: Clear light cluster - Good prx?

Yup. Everything. 8 pieces in all.

I'd think your 8-pieces include the two pieces of reflectors on the trunk lid?

Re: Clear light cluster - Good prx?

Yup. Need to change those as well as they are in ambers also.

Re: Clear light cluster - Good prx?

thanks all.. can't wait... gonna head down to BVO to do up my Angel eyes thereafter...

Re: Clear light cluster - Good prx?

Update.
I got my clear lights from Eng Soon at $545 nett.
These are original and not OEM although essentially these parts are identical.

Here's a quick question.
I intend to install angel eyes at BVO and also change the bulbs to white lamps.
I have heard that such bulbs have results in headlight plastic covers "warping" or melting.
Is this true?

Also, can anyone recommend what brand (phillips?) and rating to purchase for whiteness?
Silly question maybe and any pointers would be much appreciated.

Final question - where to get bulbs that will avoid the yolk effect? Would like to get these before going down to BVO.

Thanks for reading and cheers!

Update 2
----------

Fixed my clear lights at BVO today and noticed that after washing my car by hand (ie no jet spray), the front indicator side lamps started fogging up. Very little fogging but covers about 30% of the cover of the indicator lamp.

Wee from BVo says this is not normal but I thot I'd check with you guys. Do you encounter fogged up (no droplets just vapour) in your indicators lamps? By the way, the small side indicators also had some fogging but I'd ignore this since they are small anyway.

I got my lamps from Eng Soon last week.

Thanks!

Re: Clear light cluster - Good prx?

no fogging in mine. Unusual, if you fog up one, than perhaps damamged or faulty lamp, but both! Unless the whole batch of lights are faulty?

Re: Clear light cluster - Good prx?

Mingboy,
Mine is the same too, especially in the wet day now,

Regards

Is it? the vapor has cleared up and I will wait to see whether the next rain spell will result in fog ups.. If so, will go back Eng Soon to change...
