hi all, HAPPY NEW YEAR, i just register myself in bmw singapore, bcos i wan to get myself a coe bmw, i'm now driving ford focus. would like to check is coe bmw parts easy to find? is there much problem that i would need to consider b4 buying? advies needed. i saw a bmw 318is on sgcarmart, can buy?

Re: coe bmw parts

well....for coupes the parts are rather hard to get compared to normal sedan. thus, more time consuming and expensive.....gotta do some homework b4 u jump into it. my usual advice is go for the lone dealers and not that few major coe bmw dealers. u will find yourself getting a far sweeter deal.

Re: coe bmw parts

thanks for the reply... which means, getting a 4 doors coe bmw would be better in getting the parts, as well as a good price...?

Re: coe bmw parts

Go for a 4 door as it is more practical and u can even buy used parts from Propel to save cost. Manual will be a better option too as no worries on gear box.:)

Re: coe bmw parts

Propel is a BMW scrapyard around Sungai Kadut area where u can find used BMW spare parts for your cars and at a slighly lower price than shops.

Re: coe bmw parts

I think the most impt is the gearbox for E36. Its going to cost about 2k to replace with recon gearbox if it fails on you. So make sure you check the gearbox.

Other things to consider will be the roadtax which will be about 1.9K at maximum and BMW parts costs a lot more than jap parts.

But of course it is a better drive IMHO :)

Re: coe bmw parts

Now u know why I go for manual as gear box cost a bomb to replace. But most pple will want to mod or dress up their ride to kim kim sui sui, that is what will make a hole in your pocket.:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:
