COE for today: 19th december 2012

Re: COE for today: 19th december 2012

it is time to import your own car.. if there is an agent who help import to cars and draw a commission of 10k, 100 cars a month will be 1 mil, huat ah.

For BMW, it is more expensive to self import :)

No chance. Tomorrow is end of the world

Re: COE for today: 19th december 2012

What's with the pessimism? Everyone predicted COEs will hit $100k this year but it never did. Which means prices have underperformed... good value! :nehnehhh:

Re: COE for today: 19th december 2012

with quota expected to be cut, i think next yr will be worse unless garmen change the system...

Re: COE for today: 19th december 2012

I for one, hope COE goes up to min of $200K for all categories. Then, I sell my car for a profit and cycle to work. Can keep fit, start a charity, make billions selling stupid colored rubber wrist bands - oh, wait, that's all been done before!

Re: COE for today: 19th december 2012

coes going up are all contributed by all of us =). like price of houses, gold, euro, aussie. There's a demand and as long as we can afford it. It will keep going up.

I don't wish to see 1 dollar coe. because that means other big things in life may also be as cheap . oh dear better not =)

Enjoy and good morning to all!

willing seller, willing buyer. means that a bigger group of people these are earning higher income these days to afford COE at this kind of prices.

ADs sell their cat B cars >200k. to bid for COE anything up to 120k, no problem at all.

For some reasons, 2nd cars are not really moving too. Although there is a big price gap between new and used, many folks still prefer to buy new. Have a walk in Turf city, UBI multistorey carmart and Clementi, cars filled to the brim but few takers. Go SGcarmart, there are 90+ used Porsche 911 alone (few months back only 50+).

On the other hand, new Merc and BMW sold out. Need to wait till next Feb/mar delivery.

Re: COE for today: 19th december 2012

Prices are steep for 1-2year old conti cars. Only those >3years is relatively cheap but comes with very low COE too.

Re: COE for today: 19th december 2012

Indeed! Owners of 1-2 yo cars would be asking or gotten a higher than usual (buy high, gotta sell high too similar to COV).

Esp when now the first owner don't take a hit, the 2nd owner has to take the hit for the depreciation so might as well go for new.
