COE prices mostly down

The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for vehicles were mostly lower at the end of the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday.

The COE price for big cars (1,601cc and above) closed down S$7,811 at S$80,191, compared with S$88,002 in the previous tender.

In the Open category, the premium ended at S$87,999, down S$5,991.

The COE price for commercial vehicles fell S$2,000 to S$57,334.

However for Category A (cars 1,600cc and below), the premium closed S$1,111 higher at S$68,000, compared with S$66,889 in the previous bidding exercise.

Meanwhile, motorcycle COE dropped S$212 to S$1,801.

First bidding after 7th month over, ww will see it go back up for deliveries.

Heng ah, just bought before the result. Cat B down and cat A up, best for people like me downgrading from 2.0 to 1.6.

Passat now have 1.4 turbo.. Cat A every hot.

Can imagine when the F30 318i comes, the Cat A even more hotter. Then flip flop lui will further cut Cat B quota for Cat A.

Dont think Cat B would not crash. When Cat B give more quota to Cat A, there are less Cat B coe, supply lesser, price will go up. Cat A price then will be less nearer to Cat B, then car buyers make less noise. Then Cat A car looks cheaper than Cat B then more buyers for Cat A cars then demand for Cat A coe... Vicious cycle.. After all there is still lesser coe.

i also think so as PEAK hour sure pack on the road...........try driving from 11am to 4pm ......confirm not pack....

Then drive back to work while enjoying the sheer pang sai pleasure

At least you can achieve like 20 km/hr .... me sometimes is like 10-15km/hr ... the car is dragging .... feel like carrying the car instead .. hehe
