Remember to change engine oil & filter Within 1 km to prevent future oil drinking due to excessive wear of engine block, piston due to fine metal particles of newly machined engine rubbing in the engine.

Tks bro.

Beside these, any other related to car?

1. Check for paint damage
2. Collect touch up paint
3. Check all freebies already put in car
4. 2 keys with pouch
5. Manual in pouch + USB drive pouch
6. Tools and other std items in the boot
7. Milege check (less than 20km)
8. Check hood alignment for excessive gap (if any)
9. Check seat packets for any others' items
10. Check for any rattling noise
11. Check if RPM is stable at idle
12. IU cover
13. Check if all switches working (windows boot etc)
14. Try to understand all functions from SE

ALL THE VERY BEST!

Re: Collecting my ride soon

Since car is under warranty. Don't worry about stuff not working. No need to spend time meddling with all the buttons. Just drive off and be cool. Can always go back to fix stuff.
Most importantly check that chassis, engine number tally with LTA record otherwise you problem explaining to LTA. OMV is the correct value. Coe value and expiry date is right. Finally insurance is in force. Don't assume. Sometime documentation can be wrong.

Mine just crossed the 1k mark. So it's better to change engine oil now or wait till 2k?
Go back to PML for the oil change?

Please advise....thks....

Re: Collecting my ride soon

1000km change engine oil? Isn't that abit too fast? when i last checked with the other bros here, they said 2000km change. hmm...so 1000km or 2000km as i just reach 1000km

Re: Collecting my ride soon

just collected my F10 too.. so far the only little problem i had is the radio, reception doesn't seem to be that good, a lot of distortion, but anyway can always let them check when my first servicing is due..

sometime you can have a long checklist before you reach PML, but once you see your new born baby, you may have forgetten everything.. Just enjoy your ride.. as what some bro said.. is under warranty.. Ride Safe.. Cheers..

Re: Collecting my ride soon

Congrast...!

Just to be caution:
1. check underneath your car carpets...check whether got moisture...if got get their men to check...2. double check the engine compartment, see any broken parts, such as behind headlight and cable holders...3. check air con vents...4. check all electronic gadgets...take your time to play around...ask all the questions you need to know...rushing is bad...

I just changed oil at 2K. To me, 2K is fine as we would finish the Run-in just there. 1K is bit early!

Where did u changed oil at 2k? PML?
Just checked with my SE and she mentioned F10 do not need to change oil at 2k, only those M series is advisable to change oil at 2k.

Re: Collecting my ride soon

Will also be collecting my ride soon, next week.
There seems to be some conflicting responses wrt first oil change especially in the other international forums, some advocate not to change, as the 'used oil' is better at aiding the new engine and its parts in bedding in beyond the run in period and even has reports to show that there is no advantage at all in changing early.
My SE also advised not to change.
Maybe we should change a little later, like 5-6k km?

Re: Collecting my ride soon

2k km can change oil lah, not harm. Just go outside workshop change oil and filter, then ask them don't reset oci can liao.
