Comfort access for E90

Folks

dilemma has come to the last straw

Either install Comfort Access or sell car

Went down to PML today to enquire. Die die refuse to sell me the feature

Does any kind soul knows which other workshop can install a Original BMW comfort access for me ?
Yes i konw have to cut new key fob + new door handles + etc + etc
No big deal.
Still cheaper than sell car and buy mercedes E class

So i hope some kind advise will help to retain me in this community instead of throwing me over to the Ah Pek side

And why must be E class and not any F series platform BMW with comfort access ?
Well, i guess its very much up to TS decision as to going over to merc or bmw or whatever brand

Yes, bcos of this feature change car
bcos w/o this feature, i already lost my key once and caused my kid to fall down on another occasion when i was digging for key in my pocket

thats why i say it has come to the last straw

F10 would be nice if i can find a reasonably priced one

agree E90 has all of the above and its a shame to let go. Unfortunately, kiddo and comfort access takes precedence

Lost keys and fallen child can blame lack of comfort access?

Why dun you sue bmw for not installing in each bmw they sell... for previous ones sold, sue them and make them retrofit... like safety belts. Make them pay!!

actually i have more problem with The Star and the likes driving it.
i hate to migrate there as well
But the comfort access thing is killing me

Unless i can find a installer to put in my E90 or get a decently priced F10 (which is diff bcos most of them are high COE)

I think pi cars do not have this feature and external parties who do not have access to the bmw database will find it difficult to install and support as its based on the security access module. Same like if you lost your keys you cant just cut one. Need to get security clearance and order from bmw germany. To install comfort access you are replacing the entire key access system and require access and modification to the bmw database.

Having said that. More gadgets more problems when it malfunctions. Some some threads on comfort access problems.

Comfort access can be requested when you order your car through PI. Sometimes they come with comfort access for existing stock too. It's a "hit-and-miss" situation for the PIs, but most of the time if you didn't order it, it wouldn't come with it.

Why not dig out the key before holding your kid?

If your kid can stand/walk already, why still need to hold?

Kiddo was zz in my arms ... a bit groggy when i ask her to stand while i dig for key
