Cranking during start

Guys need help!!! Recently my 3 mths old 528 F10 (PI) is having serious cranking when I depress the start button. Car will crank up to 7 sec before it starts. Problems started after 1.5 mths.

The cranking patterns goes something like this ....

1st start up of car early morning 6.30am - smooth and sweet
From then on for the day be it next start at 8.45am, 11am, 3pm or 6 pm there will be cranking for 6-8 sec before it starts. Some Black smoke can be seen coming out of the exhaust.
Cranking will not go away till I have it start the next day.

However every time if I am to off the engine right away after it starts and restart again it will be smooth n sweet once again.
Drive is not affected. It is only the starting part. After all checks engine is in perfect conditions. No mod had been done from car collection. Only changes made was the change of tyres since then.

Warranty with TWM which BVO is listed, thnk god. Car was with them last week doing software update, got it back on sat however no improvement. Will most likely hv it send back later.

Pretty confident that Bernard will hv this issue fixed however any bro had the same experience B4 pls let me know.

Thought abt tat brother pengful but assume tat with the car 3 mths old tat is not the case. Thks

don't rule it out. sometime there is defect in any part.
there were cases where new battery failed in the 1st 6 months too !
anyway, BVO should diagnose possible point of errors

Any updates on what's the cause? Quiet an interesting problem given that its a fairly new car

I read with great interest the problems faced by F10 owners mah... from car veering to the left, to radio interference and now cranking...

I rmb pml ever said that f10 528 are not advisable to drive in Asian region due to weather and petro grade issues ... Thats y pml at first have 528i but now withdrawn from selling list in Singapore ...

Is it possible that GerBaey's car being a PI unit is sourced with the N53 direct injection engine instead of the N52 from PML.
The direct injection engine required very low sulphur content in the petrol therefore its a possible cause of problem by the injectors.
