Hi, I made a mistake previously. They didnt actually change the rubber seals for me the other time. They just lubricated all the window seals. The rattling came back. I went back and they put in the tapes. For now, its fixed. I do not hope to hear the noise again.

Have been experiencing the creaks (B-pillar and rear seats) in the cabin. This is my first time driving a BMW and am quite disappointed with all these creaks. Was not expecting such "free" stuff.

Does anyone else hear wind noise in the cabin too? From the driver's seat, when the car reaches like 50km/h or more, I can hear a whining wind noise from the back of shoulder. Anyone experienced such incident too and managed to solve it?

One last question - Should i send in the car just to rectfy these or should i do it when I am doing my servicing? I am still like 5000 km away from servicing.

i found out that my creaks were from the window seals but no time to fix it at pml yet. so temporary solution is not to wind the window up to the max. wat i do is from the max, do a quick tap on the down button. window will be down by 1mm. good enuf to take out all the creaks.

as for the whining, there are 2 types that i hear. lower pitched and more audible at 40kmph is due to final drive. dat was replaced and now quieter but i swear that i can still hear it. the other sound seems to come from outside, it is higher pitch and softer... tis one, have not had it checked by pml but previously, the sa did mention that i can expect to hear some gears etc sound, which im still astounded cos jap cars never have such thing... oh well, uniquely bmw i guess

sent in for fix today. service report said applied friction tape and lubricate seals.

i actually did driver side window seal on sun using ows body flex gel. seems to work but decided to let pml do the rest :laughlik:

bot bmw rubber protectant as standby cos very the troublesome to leave car at pml for one day, and this is with appointment! read on e90post and bimmerforum tat this rubber protectant, aka gumme-pflege is wat bmw applies and works. so im gonna use this to treat all my rubber seals. price of one can of spray is only 13.90 after gst.

Of those who have sent their cars in for the rectification of noises, can someone reccommend a good SE whom they have came across?

Would like to have a SE with experience on rattling noise look at my car.
