Re: Decent mid-sized saloon

Re: Decent mid-sized saloon

barry>> thought i'd share with you what i read on TopGear Mag's Aug 2005 issue. i know they tend to have skewed views (esp. towards british cars...the likes of aston and jags) but there ought to be some truth in the article so here's a paraphrased summary of it...

"Inside, leather skimmed from cows who lived life entirely without sunblock, cabin architecture wrought with pick and axe, despite the bvlgari clock and SIX (yes SIX) TVs and satellite link-up. (hows that for bling?) The caddy stumbles like a shot fawn over potholes and interior is circa 1976."

that's the bad stuff...here comes the good...

"24-inch chrome and black alloys" sorry that's it! guess the guys at top gear didnt like the escalade one bit...but then again that's them..on hindsight i have to agree it's one mean looking barge but if you're picking ang-mohs at the airport it's gotta have more than just 24-inch rollers imo...ride + power = E55 dude! and since money isn't a problem...do take a look at the AM800 package for the E class they have at AutomobilManufactur...

Re: Decent mid-sized saloon

OT: here's a SWEET example of what 24-inches do for your ride. hope you like it.

end OT.

Re: Decent mid-sized saloon

Barry, why wld u want that? Juz settle for the Cayenne Turbo lah. In the US, the ad for this Escalade damn cute. They parked an antique car inside it to show how blardy big that car is.

Nope, there are some in right-hand drive coz got rich people in Australia and NZ who ordered them. Caused an arm and a leg by Aussie/NZ car price std but still, the super rich will get them.

When I was in Queenstown, NZ last year, there was a Brit there who imported a Hummer (can't remember H1 or H2) and fully converted it to full glass plus extra seats at the rear and 12" TV monitors etc and used it to conduct tours to Lord of the Rings land. I paid some obscene sum to sit in that car for half a day. Even the tyre pressure can be adjusted from inside the car. Damn blardy cool.
