Dear Bro,

recently i mouted via clip a long interior rear view mirror. In a hurry, i could have mouted it incorrectly and it dropped off while i was not in the car. The corner of the mirror then scratch the aluminium area near the gear. my heart dropped when i came back to the car as my car is only 2 weeks old....hai...

Its a deep scratch and i am now so heartache abt it. So anyone have any ideas / solution whether the deep scratch can be repaired to original?

Re: deep scratch on the aluminium area

give this mobile interior fix it guy a call. 94795115 (tuck foo). else, most likely got to replace the panel.

he doesnt. hes an independent that fixes scratches and damages for interior areas. which is why i suggested him to u as an alternative to replacing the entire panel.

bro, i feel the heartache... but just to clarify: is yours the REAL brushed aluminium trim (aluminium material) or plastic painted to look like aluminium, which is what many stock cars are?

if its painted plastic (which is why your description is a 'scratch' and not a 'dent', i believe slater's reco can recover that one, or maybe even paint shops like yew lip (not sure if they're still doing ...)

on the other hand, if ur's is the real brushed aluminium and its a 'dent', the pdr people might be able to help, though if it's a scratch on the real brushed aluminium (quite unlikely, imho, cos the surface is actually highly scratch resistant)

Does anyone know of a good online shop or any accessories store that ships? I'm looking for new aluminum interior door handles and dash trim to replace my scratched up ones....
