Demerit Points Question

Hi all,

Friend of mine just got ZAPPED by speed camera for 6 pts. I think total is now 24 points.

He tried to search website about rules but cannot find.

Is 24 points valid from last offence date (within 24 months or 12 months)??? And can he still drive at 24 points demerit? How to check last offence date in internet?

I think 24 pts applies over a 2 yr period if not wrong, so older offences may fall off at the tail end of teh rolling period.

I wld think 24pts shd be computed from the time first offence was committed. For e.g., In Jan 05 commit first offence and kena first 6 points. Time will run from that time and within next 24 mths from that first offence, driver only has 18pts to spend. That is my guess. Try checking TP's web-site.

U hit 24 points u will be suspended for a month and go for 1 day retraining hehehe just like the flowchart shown there. Me gone thru before already few years back )
