Does the side aircon vent rotating switch have lights?

I just realised today that my F10 the two left and right side aircon vents rotating wheel (not the centre one) does not have lights on the rotating wheel like the centre vents.


Is it normal for all F10?

Just to confirm, your is a f10? which year? You mean your side turn wheel for the vents near the side mirror have lights?

Spiderfly,

I have a 2011/12 F10 535i. When the headlights are turned on at night, the letters/symbols on the left and right aircon turn wheels next to the side mirror have an orange glow (instead of white during day time), same as the speedometer and odometer. You need to turn up the dimmer higher otherwise it may not be that visible. I suppose this feature is common to all the F10 variance.

Maybe f10 520i doesn't have lights. Saw this youtube video on aircon vent removal. There are no wires attached so unlikely the dials will have lights at night.
