Door Creaks - Good Service by PML

Hi Guys,

I just like to share my recent experience with PML who repaired my e60 door creaking issue that some of you guys experienced.

Sent my car in and told them about the issue along with my small scratch at the rear bumper. Collected my car back the second day and was told that they changed all the car rubber seal. Now my e60 is more quiet than when I bought my car few months back!

Also realised that they have also helped me to touch up the little paint drop at the corner of the front passenger door (wife opened the door without realising the high curb at the side of car park). Think they respray the little paint drop since they helped me to respray the bumper. I was pleasantly surprised for their sensitivity without being asked to do that.

Maybe I was lucky to meet a better Service Adviser, but I thought their service is so much better than some Japanese car agents that I used to visit!

I used to work in the service industry and I believe good service should be recognised!

Anyway, the new door seal was changed FOC since it is within the warranty period.

So if you guys still face the same door creaking problem and within warranty period, you might wish to pay PML a visit!

wil, i think he refers to the common problem on e60. door seals start to creak after a few months. annoying. on the 520s they will replace with a new door seals. on the 523s they won't, cos they says "its the new type already". So they will tape some 3m tape along the seal and that silences it.

ah wee sprayed some ows stuff on my driver door seals and the creaks went away too.

The OWS stuff Ah Wee sprayed was BODY FLEX....

OIC, tat door creaking sound.....my E60 also have!!

I also use the OWS bodyflex gel spray and the creaks gone too!!

Rubber must lubricate also.....kekekeke

Hi Bros,

Oh... lucky for me then! Mine is a 8 months old 523i e60 and comes with new type of car seals but they still change a brand new set for me. Not bad already lah....

Maybe must buy 4D! This weekends maybe can strike 1st prize hoh....

Guess after a few months later, if the creaking sound were to be back, I will then get the OWS Bodyflex Gel Spray. How much is it and where to get huh?

So how's the H&R anti-roll? Good or not? Thinking of buying also leh.....

I use leather lotion / cleaner on the door seals. And it works fine. It usually last about 1 month before it dries out. How old does the OWS last? And where to get them?
