Driving to Cameron highlands

Re: Driving to Cameron highlands

Drove there in December. Raining....mud slides.......quite ok. Just need to exercise discretion and should be fine. Went there solo - no convoy.

Tip the security at the hotel well......and keep a low profile.

Re: Driving to Cameron highlands

Depends on which route u planning to take.
Good chance to play with the gears.
Stayed Aloha Resort or Cluny Lodge a few mths ago. No security guard but has gates.
Night time the few lampost lights completely off after certain hr. Better bring touchlight in case need to get stuffs fr car in the dark.

Re: Driving to Cameron highlands

Huh drive to Malaysia? I thought it's bad for resale value?

Re: Driving to Cameron highlands

The last time I drove to KL Mid Valley also got this thinking "safe or not"....

Then I use their valet guys which you can opt to sit-in to the location they park your car into the "car-vault". Once into the car-vault, I feel so secure....

Becos, my F10 became the cheapest car inside. :lol2:

I agree with Bro Wobbles, Malaysian today not small fries, their cars collection easily better than Singapore drivers.

Re: Driving to Cameron highlands

Yup, n Malaysia car more updated then Singapore specially at KL. The Malaysian like to add bodykit n modify audio to the car...

It's quite a long drive. You may want to consider stopping over in KL for a night. The drive up the mountain itself probably takes 45 min depending on traffic. Along NSW just be more viligant and better to have company in the car rather than alone.

Agree on breaking the journey...

But is a lot more thab 45 mins from kl to camerons.

Re: Driving to Cameron highlands

I did exactly that and stopped over in KL. Then it was about 1 hour to cameron highlands.
2 routes ... long versus short. The short route more exciting .....
