E36 325

Re: E36 325

Hello! Bro!
Most E36"s which are well mantained by owners are good buys...and i know a few who have dumped at least 10K to 20K into their rides once the modding bug hits them..
Guss the E36 325 is pretty rare now , and like the 328I most r exported overseas.
The 325 is run by two timing chains, and you could still modify and add cams change the CAI and stiffen the body ,add piggyback chip and finally add a supercharger to increase horsepower.. and if you dont mind the road tax X 5more years....then .....
you could consider

Thanks for the feedback.

Assuming you have to choose between a 1991 to 1993 520 and a 1991-1993 325, which one would you go for and why.

Thanks and all feedback are welcome! :)

Re: E36 325

Hi, vkunatone

It really depend on your needs.

It you have a big family (wife, 2 kids + 1maid or wife + parents + maid etc) a "5" will be suitable as the "3" is quite compact in the cabin.

However, if you are loking at pure breed of muscle car for pickup like a drag racer, over taking like no tomorrow, then go for 325. It surely won't be wrong cos very few of our e36 mates here are having the 325s.

Taking into consideration, at max. of 50% road tax surcharge for old car,
a 2.0L will cost ard $2.2K a year whereas 2.5L will be somewhere in the region of $3.4k per year.

Hope the above can help you in sourcing the right bimmer. Both the 3 & 5 are nevertheless a great cars.
