R2D;451243 said:I just came across another e36 with this same problem. Came down to a stuck flap sensor. What happened was the grease has become vary tacky and the flap kept oscillating which led to the hunting.
Opened up the flap sensor to clean the bearings and thereafter re-oiled them. Problem solved.
