Hi bros & sis,

I am looking for an E46 318i. Found one at a good price at a carmart recently but mileage was extremely high (96,000km) for a >3yr old car, therefore i hesitated to commit. :(

What are the major servicing that needs to be done when this car reaches 100k KM? Read somewhere that the MY03 N42 has some mass airflow sensor problem. is this inherent in all cars?

The licence plate is SFF 9410 M. Anyone knows if this car was ever involved in any major accidents or had any major breakdown before?

Please advice.

Thanks! :)

Re: E46 318i

Feb 04 registration.

Depreciation $ 7,000 per annum only.

Sounds too good to be true?

Re: E46 318i

Based on the licence plate SFF9410M this should be Feb 2004 (Aerospace Promotion Model). Therefore, this should be less than 3 years old car.
New point will be high OMV ~S$42K to S$43K and parf should be 65%.

Frankly, 96,000KM is rather high mileage but if the owner take care of the car then should be no problem.

Go do some reading in the forum, I remember Piggyboy (Alan) did a very good write-up of those things to look out for when car reached 100K KM.

Cheers !

Re: E46 318i

S$7k dep for second owner seems about right... in fact, the sports editions should be only a little bit more if we were to sell...

those with two owners and above, should be at scrap value (paper+body)... unless the buyer is desperate...

having said that, 96k km is a little high mileage...
