Hi guys.

Currently driving a 320i e46 01'.

smth loud and effective.

Thanks!

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

Go to jeep chee for supersprint.... lotsa bass and a little increase in power

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

Any idea the average moolah i'll have to throw in?

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

Remus also makes exhaust. Why not check out the resource folder?

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

changing the exhaust muffler is merely for looks and sound.. power gains is negligible..even if theres any.....

approved brands are supersprint,sebring,remus

supersprint can get from jeep chee... the other 2 from fong kim.... supersprint being the most expensive followed by remus and sebring....

non approved brands u can go for eisenmann, hamann , breyton

is that for single or double or quad pipe?

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

all approved exhaust wont be very loud..in fact if you like loud exhaust u will be dissapointed....

try eisenmann for throaty sound...or remus for bassy....

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

So u guys are trying to say that its not actually worth it to get supersprint?
i probably wouldnt go for a throaty sound. so that means i shld go for the remus?
so how much is the difference btwn supersprint and remus?
and also bro, since u say mufflers are only for looks and sound...
what should i do to not only have the sound, but also the performance?

the quote was for twin pipes.

Costs more to get the centre pipe + muffler (legal setup).

Staying legal? Remus should be pretty loud. My friend had an AC Schnitzer (Remus) catback system, its quite loud and boomy.

I don't think you can get alot of performance from an exhaust mod alone, so why not do Remus catback AND an ECU reflash? Sound + Performance and best part is its legal (from what i understand) so LTA can't catch, plus your family won't choke on toxic fumes everytime you drive away.

Personal opinion from one of my car mod crazy friends is that ECU remapping will boost performance more than exhaust mods so he advised me on ECU first if on a budget.

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

Does the Remus have alot of sound/bass resonating from the exhaust that can be felt in the cabin?

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

Remus & Sebring has drone and quite bassy.
Supersprint slightly less drone, more metallic sound.
retails ard $1550 at Man.
AC, softest of the lot. Drone only when idling.
Eisenmann, very metallic and raspy sound..

Re: E46 Exhaust Recommendations.

So Melo, where do u reckon i shld get he ECU Reflash done?
At BVO? And u mentioned that it was if on budget... So how much is the ECU Reflash gonna cost?
And regarding the Remus, should i get it from Fong Kim?
Thanks.

Hi Herman,

you can give J4C or BVO a call or a visit, have a chat with them on what they can offer you. They both have ECU remapping services for you to choose from. There are quite a few reviews on the forum too.

Sorry, don't have much info on the Remus mufflers. haven't considered them for myself. If you do a search on the forum i'm pretty sure you can find some info on where to get it though. good luck
