My engine is jerky when idling (e.g. stop at traffic lights) and, strangely, when on reverse gear jerks more.

Car has regular servicing. 100k mileage.

Petrol Caltex 98, once in a while 95.

Two nights ago, and since Shell Vpower was on offer, I pumped a full tank of Vpower.

Last night and this morning, I noticed that my car don't jerk anymore.


Why is my engine appetite so atas? Does it need workshop attention?

Is it because you keep changing different types of petrol??

Nope. I was always on Shell (near house). Then changed office location and thot there was a Caltex at Jalan Buroh with better discount, so switched to Caltex.

Had thot was some engine problem... and was planning to send car to MA or BVO. Luckily, F! came and Shell offered V-Power at 98 price.

Within the next two day, just as I was planning to send car to MA, I noticed car not jerking anymore. Tis week had a second tank of Shell V-Power, and the power, compared to the time I was on Caltex, was so different.

CALTEX KILLED my engine. I swear by it.

Anybody can link my this post to any official Caltex FB or forum page. Just that I cant be bothered to communicate with them nor to help them rectify it.

Lol don't bother la they lose u one customer still got tons of others to sell their petrol to,and u think the concoction of the % of petrol is done here meh?
Later they say your car no good n such

Had my 3rd thank of SHELL but 98 instead of V-Power this time. A bottle of Fuelinjector cleaner (black bottle).

Engine running swee swee.


Ban CALTEX!
