fuel pump, ignition coil, valvetronic motor, etc - these are "common" parts that fail especially your car is 5 years old and if 1st owner has not replace these items before

and the worst nightmare is gearbox up lorry

welcome to BMW !

Im guessing either my ignition coil or valvetronic motor. My valvetronic motor was replaced under warranty one or two years back so most prob my ignition coil.

Btw my gearbox up lorry late last year, so now running on new gearbox, luckily was replaced under warranty man.

Never try by leaving it over for 2 nights. Nevertheless, I believe it should be the same effect.
By the way, may I know is it a must for our car E90 320i to warm up before we drive off? Without warming up the car, you will get fracturing RPM and the car will have jerk effect? To make thing worst, if you are going up slope from basement carpark, the RPM will go up to 3000 to 4000k RPM and without the feel of the power moving up. Afterwhich, it will die off in the middle of the slope. Have you guys encounter this before?

Saw this before - also saw different reasons for different cars of the same model - even though the symptoms are the same.

Car drive w/o warmup but usually downslope. Upslope is incessant stress on your engine and gearbox, so it could be engine or tranny related.

Best bring to WS for proper diagnosis.
