I have the original 17 inch rims from my 4 months old 523 with runflats. Only clocked nearly 6,000 mileage and took very good care of the rims and tyres. Very new with no scratches on the rims.
Thinking of upgrading to 19inch since I have just changed the bodykit to the M Aero and M Wing. 17inch looks too small for the car now.....
Not too sure if it will fit your car though.....

I think for the new e90 they have no choice cause there is no room in the boot for a spare. And according to saify, they don't work after 12am and will only tow your car away if you have a flat.
Imagine how much u will have to pay for a tire at PML...

I drove up country in my e39 rather than my e90 due to 'lack' of boot space and lo & behold got nailed at my back rear tire.
Sweated in the hot sun fixing the spare, searching hi & lo for a tire shop. Found the 'proton' specialist tire shop opened, thank God.
That was when the repair man told me I hadn't "ikat" or screw the bolt well in. Could have lost my wheel. Therefore I award top points to run-flats.

i've been using PS2 since it became available and to me, they're the best there is! but run-flats appeal to me very much because i have the scenario like yours exactly in mind!
only problem is Bridgestone run-flats locally are RE050A, not RE050A II which i want (and which come standard on the 323i).

Also liked the convenience of the runflat though it is more ex...
I am considering 19inch with runflat. So may sell me original 17inch BMW rims (style 116) with runflats. BTW, it is indeed just a RE050.....
