E90 and 19" BBS CK rims

Re: E90 and 19" BBS CK rims

THanks CBS, i suppose that was meant for me.

That's why i realise my mod and hence budgetting will not complete without considering the "lowering" stage....

Thanks again.:juggle::juggle:

To me, if you put bigger rims without lowering, it makes your car look worse... The gap between your fenders and your wheels will be even more pronounced...

With PML, if a SINGLE thing is not original, they can use it against you...

is this the South East along 10 Kaki Bukit Road 1 #01-20 as in the resources?

why you need to change the shock absorber mounting when you change the Koni's?

Yes thats the South East tyre shop we are talking about.

I changed it because J4C told me when I wanted to change to Koni FSD that my absorber mountings were beginning to wear out. I drive quite a bit up to JayBee and KL. Previous I used stock absorbers and J4C suspect bcos of the mismatch between the lower stock springs vs OEM springs, they caused the wearout. I had the eibach for about few months before I added koni fsd.

Ah Beng,
Will lowering the car, i.e. change springs and absorber void the warranty with PML?

I would say dont worry about that for now. Just lower. Like CBS said, otherwise the car doesnt look nice.

The tyre shop discorage change from current 17''225 sotck to '235/35/19" without lowering coz according to them - it make no different from appearance !?! Like that one eh??

He he, you see my before n after lowering u know liao. They also want to earn some $$ lah. Its true lah, if dont lower the car looks like X3/X5 with big wheels.

Re: E90 and 19" BBS CK rims

Bro, i think this has been discussed before but anyway... may i know if KONI FSD will further lower the ride height on top of Eibach?

I'm on Eibach pro kit and generally find the ride height is acceptable and the ride quality is not much different from the stock (which I'm quite surprised) but it surely can be improved with the additional of KONI. Now I'm affraid cos if the car is further lowered, i'll have a big problem as I got a super huge hump in my carpark.

If u drive on some uneven MYsian old trunk roads on eibach and stock suspension, after a while your arse will sore. Koni FSD will take care of that for you.

Re: E90 and 19" BBS CK rims

Thanks bro. Looks like Koni and Eibach combi is the way the go. Will go and fix Koni FSD when i have the time, meanwhile gotta 'lun' the arse pain.

Btw, is J4C the only shop who does KONI? Best price?

Springs and Shock Absorbers for E60, 523I (Jan 06)

Am going to get a Jan 06 523i soon. Any recommendation for Springs and Shock Absorbers that would not make the ride stiff and hard?
