E90 eyelids turning yellow

HI guys, my E90 is almost 9 years old and I still plan to drive it for another 5+ years. I drive carefully so the overall look is still good, the only thing bothers me now is its yellowish eyelids. As the headlights work well so I don't think it worth to replace the whole set. Have you experienced the same problem? How did you fix it? Thanks!

Some say use toothpaste to polish it off. YouTube has a lot such diy videos. But I guess
You will need a power tool instead of your hand. Or groomers should be able to brighten it up.
