since last week, i encountered twice intermittent starting problem with my e90.
no problem starting in the mornings, but twice (once last fri and once today), i encountered no crank after i have driven the car and parked it for ~45min to 1 hour.
Battery is confirmed ok, but no cranking.. absolute silence after all the dashboard check lights came on
no error codes
both times, the car will be able to crank after resting the car for ~45min from the time of no crank...
weird thing is if i stop the car for short period eg ~15min, the problem doesnt occur. i am able to crank it no problem
the 2 occurrences happen only if i parked the car for ~45min to 1hr, then the cranking will not happen, have to 'rest' the car a further 45min then able to crank like normal, the cranking sounded normal, not the weak hesitant type that you hear when the starter motor is going to give way
is it something to do with the carbon brushing contact of the starter motor?
