E90 Rattling Sound from Dash

Like to get some advice, E90 ride is new (2 months old), there's a slight rattling sound coming from the area where the central air-con vents and the stereo. If I press hard against it, the rattling sound go away.

Is it worth going back to PML to ask them to get rid of the rattling sound? I'm concerned that they would need to dismantle the entire dash board and then put everything back again. Worried that in the end may develop even more rattling sounds?

Has anyone got any previous experience? Care to comment?

Had the same problem as you & got it rectified at Kg Arang. Till now, not much a problem.

I've had my aircon evaporator coil replaced at PML before and this required them to remove the entire dashboard. Everything came back fine, no rattles or squeaks etc. So maybe you may want to take a chance on them to remove and tighten any loose parts/screws?

Hi ww88 and guys,

I had posted the same problem months back.
Had brought it back to Kg Arang (Anwar) twice, replaced a plastic Gear Shift cover BUT the rattling still goes on. I had suspected that it is from the A/C dash area but it always seem less evident when I bring it back.

Please advise if your problem had been solved, and by who,so less explanation need to be done when I bring it back. Very much appreciated.

check the areas on the 2 sides of the central vent where the trims meet, the area to the left of the driver's left foot..

i sprayed some silicon on a used folded coupon, slid it into the trim intersection, wait abit and tadah! silence...

happy noise hunting!

Yes I had the same issue with the rattling/knocking. I took it to PML, they fixed it however they could not isolate the issue, they told me that they had to tighten all the screws near the dashboard

rattling noise is a known issues. just booked an appointment with PML, they will fixed it.

Hi guys, on this rattling sound, has anyone encountered rattling sounds from the front passenger seat window/door for E60? Mine has this persistent rattling, wonder if its common or if PML can solve it?

Also separately, the air coming out from my rear air con vent seems to be very low compared to the front, even if I turn it high at the central control and full at the rear control... Any help is much appreciated!

For my E90, the rattling sounds come from the central aircon vents, the 2 cup holders when the aircon unit is turned on.

Any bros know roughly how much to sent in PML to retify my E60 front doors ??? Already spent hundreds doing tis still got the same problem. The sound really killing me .

Btw wat is Kg Arang ???
