when i collect my E90 back last Nov'06, PML told me delivery need to be delayed because they need to patch up the new software. so i guess mine is on new software but what's in it, i really have no idea.......................

i was advised to bring car in for software upgrade, but havent the time to do so yet. therefore asking around if anyone did theirs recently. just wanting to know if the new upgrade solves their 2nd to 1 st gear change jerkiness, and if the airvent recirculating default can now be set.

a few months back, my CSA told me that they upgraded my software when i sent my ride in. i asked her what was the improvement and she couldn't give me a concrete answer... she also said that as and when you send in your vehicle for servicing, warranty claims etc, they'll upgrade yr software if there is a new version available.

mine is 1 year 4 months. has not gone thru the official first service though had gone in a few time to settle problems here and there.
so after software upgrade, do you still feel the jerk when coming to a stop as the car shifts from second to first ? can you put the air-vent to default to re-circulating ?

my jerk when coming to stop was resolved when they 'reset the software' for the gearbox. not sure what it means but it came back smoother, so i guess it wasn't a hardware issue. as for the a/c recirculation thing, i think i asked about it before and was told it couldn't be done, so even after the software upgrade, the default is still open mode. but it doesn't really bother me a lot. what irks me is that the a/c stinks during the 1st few mins when you turn it on.
