e92 320 lack of acceleration after 4k RPM

Hi guys - e92 320 2008.

I noticed that my car acceleration plateaus after 4k RPM. In ranges of 2-3.5k the acceleration is actually pretty 'good', but it tends to stagnate at 4k onwards or maybe even slows down.

My car was previously tuned at a site sponsor sometime back, so not too sure if the tune had anything to do with it. I have also been reading up on the forums and it seems it might be a fuel pump problem?

Any advice is good advice!

Note: no warning lights

likely fuel pump ...... but check for error codes best.

Happened to my previous ride. Fuel pump filter choked. Removed, cleaned up and rev-happy again.

Thanks for the advice. Just to confirm, fuel pump choked/faulty will not produce warning lights on dash?

another culprit could by valvetronic motor or sensor ... not entirely spoil yet but going up lorry

Sorry didn't mention ex ride was a jap car. Didn't have to replace filter just cleaned up can liao
