Just heard from my SE that the cabrio will be launched on the 31st of march(dont know how reliable this is) at sentosa. and By invitation only. haha. *slurp!!!:woowooo:

Re: E92 Cabrio.

Invitation only. But always so crowded. hahahaha...

Re: E92 Cabrio.

...Or you could just visit the showroom a few days after to view and testdrive it in peace, imho you can take your time to check out the car at the showroom, instead of jostling with dozens of other launch attendees over one launch car. :)

Your humble opinion is echoed. :laughlik:

Re: E92 Cabrio.

How does one get invited?

That said, I think I'll just wait to see it when it gets to the showroom.

Re: E92 Cabrio.

sounds nice to be invited...nothing heard yet means just that...nothing... haha

Re: E92 Cabrio.

Love to see the car.... So, it will not be in one of the Performance Motor showroom....

E93 Cabriolet vs. E92 Coupe

Can someone give me a good and bad reason to choose an E93 over an E92?

Re: E92 Cabrio.

i got invited to the e93 launch. its on 31st March Saturday Morning. Look see look see but never like convertibles on a sedan body. Looks so wrong and look like a boat.

ABD,

Dont get the cabrio. Bengs dont use cabrios. :) Wait for my coupe to come, then u decide. :)

the E93 is a metal roof convertible/coupe.

In my humble opinion, it is a better choice than the E92. It is way more expensive, but and it has more weight, but it should be similar in torsional stiffness because of additional stiffening done. But because of the folding metal roof, its balance is no longer 50-50 or close to that. But initial handling tests state that it is good enough.

But for those who consider E92 and E93, for the convenience and good balance of 4 seats in a coupe, it doesn't hurt to compromise a little bit more and get the E93 for the folding roof. Most especially in Singapore when 70% of the time you'd want a roof over your head.

For the added price, u can get a 6 series. WHy wud you pay 30K more for a hard top? Also, the 335i is already 1.6 tonnes. Having more weight on the car is really not a good idea, even with the power.

it's a cab/coupe, elmariachi. Very different proposition from a fabric top.

Re: E92 Cabrio.

No E93 for me... the shape of the rear "c-pillar" & foldable roof totally kills the look. And its better to get a darker colour car to hide the lines of the roof.

i agree but like what azrielSC said, with the lines on the C-pillar, it really looks like someones dented Darth Vaders mask with a baseball bat. But to some, it will appeal. Or atleast the minority. Aesthetically speaking that is.
