Eibach or HNR Springs?

Currently on Bilstein B6 and went shopping for lowered springs.

Eibach - front lowers by 30mm, rear lowers by 15mm. But shop says will Eibach will sag after some time. No stock must wait 2 weeks.

HNR - shop says same lowered measurements as Eibach, have stock. Same price.

I am skeptical on HNR and worried it might be too hard a ride, but lowering my ride is a must.

Anyone changed your springs before and care to share your experience? Thanks in advance.

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

Eng Soon should have stock of those springs ..... And normally it's paired with the B8 which has a shorter suspension travel.

You would need to check if it would hit your bump stops .....

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

Check out Eibach with Snowdog.
I suppose Eibach should softer than H&R.

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

My friend is also saying Eibach has better build quality than H&R. The only attraction is H&R lowers by 1.3 inch front which is almost 5cm while Eibach only lowers 3 cm front.

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

My friend friend said...h&r very good.. better than eibach. The spring rate is better.

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

Why not go for coilovers which will give you all the control you need for height ?

Springs on its own will never be perfect in terms of height .....

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

I'm lowered on H&R sport springs and have scraped my front bumper and side skirts (going over an apex) and bottomed out my front end a few times. Still learning to drive a lowered car.....But at least it's not the H&R race springs which lower the car even farther. You should check if the spring rates are compatible with your shocks. Some springs may be too stiff and lead to premature wearing of your shocks. I have no experience with Eibach springs though, but I've heard that they go well with Koni FSD shocks.

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

Past exp i used HNR very good! ride very comfortable.

now i am saving up for an air bag suspension setup.

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

having tried eibach and kwv2 and R-logic, i must say that coils are way superior in almost every aspect except price. try taxi-ing around in some members ride before you buy?

Re: Eibach or HNR Springs?

I recently changed to bilstein b6 and h&r springs due to worn stock shocks and it's really a good match with 18inch rims! Firmer than stock when cornering and ride quality is good enough with no bottoming out or crashing feeling. No loss on comfort! First two days was a bit stiff because it haven't settle in. But now after driving it for about a week it has settled in and I dare to recommend to those who don't want coil overs but want comfort and lowering to match. It's inexpensive too. Cost me about 1k for the bilstein b6 and new upper/lower rubber mountings (rubber mountings are important to change as it's also wear and tear part. they have b8 but I cannot comment as I have not tried it)from ES auto brand new.
