Eisenmann Race Mufflers - e64 650i SMG - My Experience

Re: Eisenmann Race Mufflers - e64 650i SMG - My Experience

A month plus has gone by and the exhaust note is definitely getting louder. It's like having the entire symphony orchestra at the tip of your toes. The Eisenmann gives a headturning low f1 drone at low cruising speeds and a raw menacing bark at higher rpms, yet does not eliminate the burble of a big V8. All this while maintaining an unassuming stock ACS-kitted 6er guise.

I'm enjoying the setup to the fullest and find myself often shifting up and down through the gears on the smg just for kicks. I used to be lazy with gear shifting, leaving it in D with 'sports' mode on. Now I swear by manual shifting. Wooooot!

Cold starts in the mornings are nothing short of joyful. Makes waking up early for work so much more worth the effort. Just love to hear the sounds of crying children when I fire the 6er up at 6 in the morning. I'm sure I'm speeding up the 'most popular neighbour' chart. Hahaha...sounds psycho but I just can't wait to complete the full exhaust project. Bro Wilson, time to rush rush pizzaman again! LOL!

End of excitement, back to work.

I loved my Eisenmanns so much on my previous ride... now i'm so damn tempted to go back to Eisenmann Race on le coupe.

Great writeup ACS6... damn it must sound hella wicked on a V8.

U can't listen to bro ACS6's E64 650 with the Eisenmann Race I've setup for him......it's scary......

U'll need an exhaust with valve control so that you can control the sound......quiet when needed, scream when u want it......

If you want a comfortable setup with the eisenmann race, my advice is that you leave the headers and cats and resonators alone, just change the eisenmann race muffler (not LTA compliant just so you know). This way, it is still very mild mannered at low revs but slight racey crisp notes at higher revs (above 4800rpm).

Like Wilmann said, don't listen to mine. Thanks to Wil, my custom setup gets me mistaken for a Scuderia many times already.

ACS6 - does the E-Race roar intrude your cabin with top up?

Mine's muffler only, at carpark speeds it does drone a bit... still trying to get used to this vuvuzela. But it sounds damn good at idle and high speeds

Re: Eisenmann Race Mufflers - e64 650i SMG - My Experience

Like I said, mine's more than just muffler-work. So, yes, it does intrude the cabin in a nice and most welcomed manner. Mine has a nice metallic drone, high pitched scream rather than the usual boom boom that comes with large diameter pipes. So the noise that it makes is purely justifiable with performance.
