Did you do the transmission mount along the way ? Normally done together.

No leh...
I got no idea.
I assume my transmission mounting is still fine???

Re: Engine Mounting - replacement - BMW E90

replaced or upgraded to 335 mountings for more omph ...

Re: Engine Mounting - replacement - BMW E90

unless previouslyalready done. Both are to dampen vibrations so normally do both together since the cost not much.

Sound logical if the engine side mounting is changed, trans side will be lower with the old mounting..

I changed both at the same time.

Done mine, both changed to 335 mounts earlier in the year.

Re: Engine Mounting - replacement - BMW E90

Heard the 335 mounts are harder, but after install, feels the same or vibration on steering wheel much lighter.

Did mine as preventative maintenance rather than replacement for worn out mount so maybe not much difference :)

Re: Engine Mounting - replacement - BMW E90

actually, i expect increased steering vibration (or feedback) since the mount is harder ...

vibration on steering wheel much lighter.

Re: Engine Mounting - replacement - BMW E90

Would u all consider to install the engine damper?
Holds the engine firmly and reduce transmission power lost

Re: Engine Mounting - replacement - BMW E90

Try M3 engine mount, the steering wheel vibrate when stationary. But when step on accelerater pedal hard, super sheer driving pleasure..

That dont really help much for my previous ride as compares with PU mountings.

Then again some may find it otherwise.

Cheers ~~

Yeah, with the 335 mount even though i don't really feel any difference, revving the engine hard i guess is smoother, cuz you don't feel the engine 'twisting' as much.

Yes, the engine dont "twist", immediately translate power to your wheels, very good when picking up at traffic lights and over-taking...
