Engine Oil capacity for F10 528 (4L TPTurbo)

Hello hiadees,

Been trying to google but got confusing results from searching.

How many litres or US quarts of engine oil is required. Is it 5.75L (6.1 US quarts).

Also, can this engine take German Castrol 0W-30?

6L should be fine.
Better to use heavier oil like GC 5W40 in our hot climate.
There will be many different take on engine oil if you are to ask for opinion.

Mayb u can try use 10w50 oil? Tried n my oil temp drop compare to previous eo.

Hi Ah beng.

Full drain. Pour in 4.5qt. Then check.

0w-30 ok.

I believe the 528 down to the 520 have the same engine, only different tuning and rating in each. Am I right?
When I took my 520 to PML for its first service, I asked the SA the oil capacity of the 520, and was told 5.25 litres.

My guess is that the full oil capacity is 5.75L but you can never drain every single drop of oil out during servicing. There will be old oil still stays in the oil system, so you only can top up the remainder without over filling. How much to top up I guess experience workshop would know.

ABD, i need to correct my earlier suggestion of 6L. 2 ws i talk to said they poured approx 5.5 bottles which work out to 5.2-5.5L cos they cannot rem if its quart or litre each bottle. The point is - my earlier suggestion was way out.

Hi, so how big is a quartz bottle and how many litre is it?
