Engine oil change

Would like to seek some advice from F10 owners here:

1. what brand of engine oil is most ideal for F10?

2. At what intervals do you change the oil?

3. what is a reasonable cost per engine oil servicing? If this is deemed too sensitive to be in public, you may pm me.

1. Personally use Castrol 5w-30 but the best is to check your car's manual for the appropriate oil. As long as it has BMW LL 01/04 all is good.
2. Expensive oils are unnecessary as long as you keep to the scheduled oil change intervals or when the iDrive says its time to change.
3. Currently only for a simple oil change i'm paying $75 (4L Castrol 5W-30) + $12 (1L Castrol 5W-30) + $10 (Mann Oil filter Eng Soon) from these guys.

Thanks, that’s useful info. My workshop actually allows to choose from shell, Mobil or castrol
