Hi guys, are we able to use our own engine oil and service by pml or MA without affecting warranty?

For PML is not issue but for MA not sure. Maybe you can pm M-nut for more details.

Re: Engine oil off your choice

just bring your own engine oil
they will just charge for labour and filter.

Re: Engine oil off your choice

And remember ask them no need top up washer fluid.

Pls thank me.

Re: Engine oil off your choice

What is the saving vs the risk exposed by bring own oil and filter? Be careful of counterfeit parts n oil tat may damage engine. Now a day too many counterfeit parts coming from PRC.

its not abt counterfeit parts but more of paying reasonable prices for parts n stuff.
think it will be reasonably cheaper buying original filter from parts agent like Eng soon and changing it.

as for oil, there are many reputable oils out there and it aint that ex.

in short, there's not much perceived "risk"

brobot...top up washer fluid....i think that cost 8 bucks if i am not wrong ...hehe

Dear ac323,

For Munich Automobiles, we have an existing commitment to ensure that only BMW recommended Castrol EDGE Professional Products are used. So we do not encourage customers to bring in their own oil. But please do contact me if you have any issues or other queries.

Re: Engine oil off your choice

I think most of us won't be bothered to bring our own oils unless u die die have a particular brand that your service centre or workshop don't carry.
Just like what me n a few bros were chatting on yesterday, 1stly it's like a bit not respecting em and then for some outside workshops they will charge u extra for labour which is back to square one (that is if u are the type bringing own oils for savings). Yes, we are lazy bums....work so hard Liao everyday...so just let the service centre or workshop do their job while we relax. It would help though if more variety of oil can be offered by em....just a suggestion.
