Diff in weather and humidity plays a part.
Ya agree...maybe in S'pore condition PS2 and S03 will perform sligh better than F1. But with the F1 price and easy to access of stock.....I guess is difficult to resist the F1.:)

Re: F1 or PS2

my take is:

PS2 is too *&%$# expensive
F1 is great in wet but very very rough and noisy.
Maybe SO3 is the tie breaker??

Ok guys, here's my FR:

With the GS-D3, I found that it was not as good on the dry but the wet is fantastic(comparison being made against my previous set of tyres: Toyo Vimode).

In the dry, my previous tyres felt like it was planted to the ground or something but for GS-D3, I feel that it is not as grippy. Could not give me the same confidence to take the same corner at the same speed in the same weather and road condition.

But it's in the wet that I found the GS-D3 in a class of it's own. I haven't tried SO3 or PS2 but for me, the GS-D3 cuts through water effectively enough. Maybe because the tyres are still relatively new which minimises aqua-planing.

At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and at that type of competitive price for the GS-D3, I would think it's value for money, IMO.

Re: F1 or PS2

How about the noise level? Quiet or bearable?

Oops! Haha..forgot about that part. The noise level is, IMO, acceptable. They're not the quietest tyres around but definitely bearable.

Re: F1 or PS2

Having both sets of tires, here's my 2 short cents...

GS-D3s edge PS2s in wet...
PS2s edges GS-D3s on Dry roads...
Overall performance/ value prize goes to GS-D3s...

You won't go wrong with either tire, under most conditions, unless you're looking for that-little-bit-extra, in which case then depending on whether in wet or in day, see above, or as per TireRack.com survey results...

Cheers...

Re: F1 or PS2

Oh... one other thing to note... in consideration on value-points...

inside and outside thread patterns on PS2s are different, therefore when it comes to tire-rotation, you're limited to only moving tires front-to-back or vice versa, and if front/rear tires are off different size, then... well...

thread pattern on GS-D3s are uniform, and allows for tire-rotation...

ta...

Re: F1 or PS2

Eh... think tat PS2 is not directional, the diff on the inside/outside thread pattern does not restrict u from doing tire rotation. The purpose of diff in thread on both sides of a tire is to eliminate the rolling noise.

Hi SL2.....some short question for u....:)
Comparing the GS-D3 Vs Toyo Vimode:
1. In term of comfort plus noise, which one better?
2. What is the price and where to u get ur Toyo Vimode? (225/40/18)

Thank u.

Noise wise, I think both tyres are comparable. But for comfort level, I feel that the GS-D3 has a more harsh ride.

You can contact Raymond from Ray-S with regards to pricing of the Toyo Vimode.
