Hello fellow brothers n sisters..

Curious if any 520 f10 owners here...possible to provide some feedback and comments of your ride? Is it underpowered and also what other noticeable issues or potential problems we could face?

Lastly, if buying...apart from 3M floor mat, n tint' service vouchers or pml vouchers...what other freebies we should ask for?

Jerky gearbox, stiff rear seat back rest, warm rear aircon vents, rattle, squeak, wind noise, turning radius of a truck, case of disappearing rear leg room despite the size, poor quality fake leather in some places, crashing suspension noise, very lousy auto wiper system, irritating auto start stop...need me to say more? Applies to any f10.

Honestly, you will experience none of the above if you are driving alone, at off peak hour, on well paved tarmac, with music blasting.

Power is subjective. Comparing to other family cars, you will smoke toyota altis but get smoked by merc s500.

But I only sat in a 5 series , so spacious compared to 3 series

I recently just bought 520i. Trade in E90 320i (4.8 year old) for 95K.
Test drove and can say it is definitely smoother than current ride.
Free 3M floor mat and 3M solar film.

Hmmm....... Sounds like a lot of issues there. Wonder what does Slow_poke_driver drives then? Maybe he got a top of range car.

Might be a Beemer cause he has a SE to recommend.

523i I heard discontinued cos they using the older engine which is a 6 cylinder (to me I think that's better). The new 520 n 528 all using 4 cylinder but with Turbo... :/

Currently got 1 f10. Personal experience, and most have been discussed to death and probably not just limited to f10. I probably missed out a few like headrest vib at around 110km/hr, aircon water dripping noise and left pulling steering...Whether you feel it or not depends on your expectation and usage. Just try the car in peak hour traffic on the kje littered with potholes at 20-30km/hr.

True, but subjective. Someone who drives a c-class will think the seats are ok and the car is big. Someone who drives a bentley will comment the car is crap.
