Hi all,

Recently switched to an f10, from an e92.

Quick question, hope somebody can help me out.

I can lock my car by placing my finger on the ridged portion of my door handles. This works for the driver door and door behind the driver; but not on passenger side doors (front and back).

Unlocking works fine for all four doors when I put my hand into the handles.

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

That's your comfort access. From what you have described, it is likely that the lock sensors on the handles (i.e. the ridged portions) have failed. You unlock it by holding the door handle. You can choose to replace them for a couple of hundred dollars - if you want to. If you can live with it, then all's good.

Thanks. Thought it was a software parameter that I was not setting correctly.

I mostly use the driver door to lock anyways, so it isn’t a huge deal. Just a bit annoying that I need to use the key fob when I’m taking stuff from passenger side and want to lock the car immediately after.

I need expert advice here... I just bought preowned car F10/520i last month, wanna to bring for full check and service, please advise shall I bring to agent or any specialist workshops.

Regards
Sav
