Anyone knows how I can check? Cos i check on the side of the door, it only shows "Made by BMW". It doesn't indicate Germany
Locate your vehical chassis number either on the driver side door label or engraved on the suspension post in your engine compartment (mine is on the left suspension post if you are facing the engine). It should be a 17-digit code that begins with WB. Look for the 11th character (or the 7th character from the right), and use the list below:
A, F,K: Munich, Germany
B, C, D or G: Dingolfing, Germany
E, J or P: Regensburg, Germany
L: Greer, South Carolina, USA
N: South Africa.
Details about chassis numbers (also called Vehicle Identification Numbers or VINs) can be found here:
Decoding the 17-character BIMMER VIN - bimmerfest - BMW Forums
My chassis number is WBAKD5202Exxxxxx, so its:
WBA - A passenger car made by BMW of Germany
KD5202 - Model code for an 320i E92 with seat belts and airbags (I think - long time since I checked this)
E - Made in Regensburg, Germany
xxxxxx - Manufacturer serial number.
Hope that helps.
