Hi all brothers,

My F10 around one year, when steering there is a slight kok kok
sound.. It is very soft, very soft, and only happens
sometimes..
Like when i steer 60-80 deg to right or left, then there is maybe
slight sound kok kok 2 times..

Can anyone who has the same problem enlighten me ?
As when i sent to workshop, they only try lubricate the
steering column, steering wheel shaft etc.. But sound
still there when turning..

A very soft but audible sound.. This is the best i can explain,
pls help.. Thanks all in advance first...

Just hope to find someone who has repaired this problem
before.. Thanks..

PI or PML?

PML go bang table.
PI go bang balls.

Kidding.

Let R2D's Rodney take a look.

My initial thought was to lud the bearing from the strut tower opening.
After that sound gone for few days ... but come back a while later

Re: F10 steering kok kok sound

Morning kok kok sound, at night got sound? Piak piak sound? :)

Re: F10 steering kok kok sound

Thanks to all brothers who replied.. Will check those causes..

Thank you again..

Re: F10 steering kok kok sound

did u do any suspension mods?

agree with jason8822, check your wheel bearings first

Re: F10 steering kok kok sound

suggestion - add a "CHIANG" and you will have Chinese opera - tok tok chiang!

it's probably the spring and spring mounts. nothing serious so don't bother.

note: if it's the wheel bearings, symptoms will not be dependent on turning of wheels.

Re: F10 steering kok kok sound

i have the kok kok sound each time i go up mscp ... it's the suspension
i have to go real slow so that the car front body is "nicely" lift up to the floor ... especially while turning up
i suspect the suspension (strut mount) was not fasten properly but everything seems install nicely leh

Could be Strut mounting knocking against strut top. U could try to incorporate a thick rubber in btw them.

Re: F10 steering kok kok sound

Rabid,

not wheel bearing, SUSPENSION MOUNT BEARING

once upon a time i changed to KW Street Comfort and drive a lot on bad road
then finally kok kok kok sound came
ws change for me to M3 bearing (sibeh sart ?) but 6 mths later also kok kok kok and change to dunno whatever bearing

if this case, then most means the mounting nut loose which is very unlikely case

Actually it could b those plastic plastic rubbing against each other lah. Mine when i step acc n realease suddenly also got those tiak tiak kok kok n piak piak n biang biang sound. I also heck care.
