I don't know whether its the photography or the conversion but the car ROCKS!

The owner was careful to dechrome the side markers and debage the M5 emblem for a clean mean look.

Even without the M5 mirrors, the whole car looks damn mean, compared with the white M-Sport one behind.

Damn nice!!! Especially the black signal fenders! Gave me idea to zeng my ride.. M5 front is damn bad ass look.. I like :)

For this conversion, does the front fender need to be changed too?

yes, cos like the E60, the F10 M5 bumper is 2 inches wider than non-M ones so need to change the fenders.

Tats why M5 conversion kit costs about 3 times more than the M-Sport kit.....
 
How abt the M5 diffuser? I bet it can't fit into the non-M rear bumper as well..

Diffuser can, if your bumper is M-Sport one but the exos need to realign abit. Ley chey

true story.... happened here in SGP....


A friend of mine driving an F10 M5 was asked by some random F10 driver which workshop he zhng his car....

full m5 body kit, quad exhaust, rims, big brake kit etc.....

To do a PROPER M5 exterior conversion is not just about changing bodykits unless you are ok with your mods being labelled as "erm sar ermm see" or worse.."erm jia lan"..

You need to consider:

1. Full Bodykit/fender
2. Brakes (esp the rear ones which require larger rotors although calipers look stock)
3. Rear diffuser with properly aligned modded exhaust (aftermarket exos may not be able to align nicely with M5 rear diffuser)
4. M5 rims (I say this because if u larp aftermarket rims, it wun feel "shiok")
5. M5 mirrors (a must IMO)


Want to do it, then do properly. You can see many E60 supposed Yam5s around either no M5 mirrors, or front M5 bumper or some other brand bumpers like RD or Lumma, rear M-Tech twin exos, or 17" rims or ACS boot spoiler etc etc... Tats not Yam5. (which means REPLICA of real M5)... Tats any5

interior ...

10.2" large screen >> must have
M5 Steering Wheel >> must have
M5 gear knob >> must have

M5 instrument panel >> if deep pocket ... go for it
M5 seats >> this one .... for sibei ON owner


520/523/528 to YAM5 still ok
if 535 ... plus all the mod funds ... probably not worth the hassle liao :D

535 to yam i think still worth it anytime considering the $200k price diff

total exterior and interior mods u are looking at abt 55k-60k...do-able lah

Exterior mods done properly probably about 30k

After u mod liao, people will tell u "523 nia.."

Then u can drive ur Yam5 to East Coast beach to look very far
