F30 316 1.6L uses 4.2L of engine oil?
Almost close to a 2.0L engine. I recall JDM 1.6L engine use less than 4L.

How can use jdm to compare??

It has to be like for like comparison. Maybe Merc or VW.

German engine is designed to run on higher temp than Jap.

Shouldn't one use oil recommended by BMW since car still under warrenty? Probably be safer in case something does go wrong, they can't blame you for using for not using recommended product?

PML is ok if we bring in approved oil.
Recommended BMW oil is Castrol but dont think they are using.
Liqui Moly is acceptable to PML. They charge a bit more than $200 if you use their oil. Still ok to me. Enjoy.

Had this report when key fob is scanned and PML did not seem bothered; I did not notice then.

Hi voltage storage state: high voltage storage state A
hi voltage accumulator diagnosis is recommended.

Anyone knows what's this? Thanks in advance.

Quite good thatthey allow use own oil. Some outside workshop also cannot fo that.
